Definition of Ready

The checklist a ticket has to pass before it's allowed into a sprint — clear acceptance criteria, no open questions, properly sized.

In practice: Prevents vague half-written tickets from clogging sprint planning. Less commonly enforced than Definition of Done, which is a mistake — most sprint chaos traces back to unready tickets sneaking in.

• often confused with Definition of DoneReady is the checklist for entering a sprint; Done is the checklist for leaving it.
